Good morning CGIL, This week we are happy to have Dr. Xuechun Bai, a Research Geneticist from Hendrix Genetics, presenting for us on Friday, April 26th, 2024. Rumination time in dairy cattle: genetic, genomic, and machine learning analyses.

The CCSAW Student Chapter is hosting a behind-the-scenes tour of the Toronto Zoo on Friday, April 26th! All are welcome to join. Tickets are limited, and will be sold for $40 each (cash only, first-come first-serve) in person in the Animal Science and Nutrition building on Thursday April 18th at 2:00pm. On the day of the trip, we will be meeting behind ANNU at 7:30am and travelling to the zoo via carpool. Feel free to email us with any questions!

This winter, the Department of Animal Biosciences, University of Guelph will be hosting several hands-on equine first aid courses at the Equine Sports Medicine and Reproduction Centre (ESMRC).
